What is a Bach Flower Remedy?
In the simplest of terms, Bach Flower Remedies are the essences of specific flowers. 38 of them to be exact. They are similar in nature to homeopathic remedies, and are characterized as such, but their manufacture is a little different. Flower Remedies are made by floating flowers in spring water out in the sun. Once the flowers are wilted they are removed from the water and what is left is the essence of the flower itself inside the water. A small amount of preservative (alcohol or glycerine) is then added to the flower essence to stabilize it.
Due to the gentle nature of these Remedies, they can be used by any creature or even plants to great effect. There are no side effects associated with using them and they will not interfere with any medications. They are appropriate for use from birth to death and any time in-between. Each of the 38 flowers have been categorized into 7 different Roots of Emotional Imbalance:
- Fear
- Uncertainty
- Lack of Interest in the Present
- Loneliness
- Oversensitive
- Despondency
- Over-concern for Others
Feeling overwhelmed? Exhausted? Having trouble making decisions? Feeling isolated? Have you seen or experienced a traumatic event? Are you dealing with changing circumstances? Unsure of yourself? Bach Flowers may be just the tool you need to get back in balance.

She [Jessica] loves to teach and explained to me about essential oils, their history, their benefits, where to purchase high quality oils, etc. She has always been easy to talk to and I found I was confiding in her more and more about my health issues.

Frequently Asked Questions
A: This is a great question! Let’s break it down a bit. Holistic means that I am looking at a person as a whole, integrated being in the area of their health. When evaluating someone’s health needs, I’m not just looking at one piece like the heart, or hormones, or skin or whatever they’re wanting help with. I am looking at all the other parts of the body as a whole that have an affect on that part. I’m taking into account not just someone’s symptoms, but the part of the body that is off balance enough to be causing those symptoms. I take into account my client’s physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing because all of these have an effect on our overall health. Once I put all the pieces together and see what is causing a client’s symptoms, I make personalized recommendations for them. My recommendations are always something beneficial to the health of the client.
A: Clients are seen online via Zoom or in person. For an initial appointment, think of it as similar to going visit your doctor for the first time. There’s a bit of paperwork you’ll be asked to fill out ahead of time to give some baseline information. Initial appointments run long, about 2 hours. This is to give us enough time to discuss your concerns and for our practitioner to dig in with some clarifying questions. Your paperwork and discussion will then be reviewed by the practitioner so that she can make the best recommendations for your situation. Follow-up appointments are usually scheduled in 4 weeks, as this gives you time to purchase whatever you need and start making some changes. We’ll then review what you’ve tried and make adjustments. Follow up appointments tend to be shorter at 45 minutes to 1 hour.
A: As the body heals, symptoms go away in the reverse order in which they showed up. In other words, your newest symptoms will disappear first as your body heals. Sometimes healing can be subtle, but you should start noticing improvements within a week or two of following your personal Health Recipe.
A: No. At Chrysalis, we empower you to direct your health journey by cutting out the middle man. You are free to seek whatever methods you wish to find the healing you desire.
