Health Tip – Movement

Your health tip for the day: movement is essential to good health. Did you know that your body is designed to move? Not only does movement help lubricate the joints but it also serves to circulate the lymph throughout the body. Movement doesn’t have to be big, flashy, or involve lots of time in the gym. Movement can be as simple as doing some stretches while at your desk or going for a walk around the block. Many times joint stiffness is relieved best through a bit of gentle stretching.

If you’re not used to moving, start off slowly. Find a type of movement you enjoy: walking, stretching, dancing, running, kick boxing, whatever, and do that. You’re much more likely to actually move if you enjoy what you’re doing. Get yourself into a routine and before you know it you’ll be feeling better, more vibrant with more energy.
