Exhaustion. It is so very common. Many of us are busy running around looking like zombies and reaching for the nearest caffeinated beverage in order to keep going and meet all those obligations that we have. Coffee, sodas, energy drinks. . . heck, can we just set up an IV and get it over with?! Friends, this scenario is all too common. In fact this was me a couple of years ago. I went to bed exhausted and woke up feeling just as tired. Grabbed a cup of coffee and tried to pry my eyeballs open before my kids woke up.
And while this is all to common, I’m here to tell you it is NOT NORMAL! You should not be waking up just as tired as you were when you went to sleep. You should not be relying on things like caffeine to help you wake up and sleep aids to pass out at night. This feeling of exhaustion is your body’s way of telling you that something is off, you are lacking something that your body desperately needs. It could be lack of sleep from the baby keeping you up all night, but that may only be part of the picture. Chronic exhaustion could also be from something as simple as a nutrient deficiency. Listen to those alarms your body is giving you. Figure out why they are going off, then you can address the real issue and start feeling much better. Take it from a recovered coffee zombie, there’s a better way.
